I could wish these were a little less expensive, because I'd like to have more of them. They are fairly heavy gauge stainless steel. Tough enough to actually bake in (assuming you're using a thick batter that won't run out under the ring too badly. In fact, they're thick enough that I I don't think it'll be too easy to use them as cutters (but I haven't tested that yet). I bought them to make individual desserts (layered cakes, etc.) and so far they seem like everything I need (except maybe a round cutter in exactly the same dimensions.

I purchased these after watching a McDonalds corporate chef use one similiar to this one to make Egg McMuffins on YouTube. Arrived promptly and work perfect for making the perfect sized eggs. Spray the inside with a little non-stick spray and the eggs pull right way when you lift the ring off. Would buy again.
