I just got this mold and I love it. Same Wilton quality that you would expect, with fun new designs. I use the silicone for soap molds and they work great. Place the mold on a tray before pouring in the soap to facilitate moving the wobbly thing after it is full of raw soap. Let the soap sit in the mold for about 24 hours, then place it in the freezer for 4-6 hours before turning the molds upside down and inverting the cavities until the soap falls out. The soap comes out so easily and the silicone is so flexible there are no more cracked molds or stuck soap. It is still a good idea to freeze the soap before removing because as you push on the back of the mold cavity to remove it you can smudge and smear the detail on the still soft soap no matter how careful you are.These molds have three snowmen wearing top hats and three wearing Santa-style hats. They are detailed without being so much so that the intricacies of the design would complicate the removal of the item baked or molded therein.Sorry this review is not helpful to those who bake with these molds. I've never used them in that way. My silicone pans are used only as soap molds. This one is a great addition to my collection of Christmas and winter themed molds.

I purchased this to make small Christmas gifts. I only made a few batches but the silicone mold works great for making little guest soaps. Then you can also use it to make cakes, but making the soaps takes less time. A small investment for making original gifts.
